I've noticed, mostly when out to eat, sour cream has a weird musky smell/taste; at two different restaurants so it's not the place, but it might be the brand, and some ground meats, like hamburger, have a similar musky strangeness that it didn't have before. If you have a new serious health condition that has developed since you had a covid infection, it may have been caused by the covid infection.

Covid can do damage to every organ system.
Lasting damage.

Even if you've been vaccinated or had Covid before.

Mine is not a serious thing but it does take some of the enjoyment out of life. I’ve had COVID three times now, and each time it’s taken more of my sense of smell. I might be more fatigued too, not sure it’s just age though.

preggers & assisting CNA to postion some1, I said 'i smell blueberries'. CNA asks if i saw what she had done, pulls out a plastic-wrapped plate, in the side cabinet located where I was standing, a blueberry muffin. still hv olfactory powers😀

Yeah I've become mostly vegetarian and almost every time I chance having meat (specifically beef) when I'm out, it tastes...weird.

i've reduced meats in general & wish I could find local pasture proteins that aren't pricey.
was in NC this year. had a diner burger & telln employee how it was the best in a good while. turns out it was from local area< 30miles small fam raised, etc but not 'i'm a vegan' prices.

I'm starting to wonder if it is something they are feeding the animals that is causing the meat and the milk to taste funny to me. I never noticed it before I had COVID recently, but it is very prevalent and enough to affect my desire to eat certain things.

Good Lord. That would explain the local, more humanely raised meats tasting better. Look into local halal meat markets as well. Islamic belief dictates that animals should not be in fear or pain when they are killed for food, and should be treated well prior to that.
