Many states are attempting to suppress votes, not accept results and exclude eligible people.

One candidate will not accept negative results.

I don’t know why it wouldn’t be accurately called “shambolic”

Bogus, false, thing that is not what it is purported to be. It's too strong a word for attempted suppression. When the autocrat wins unopposed with 99% it's a sham. The vote happens, and I don't care if the loser doesn't accept the results, they still get evicted/denied power
