NI is already half way out when you look at the map of the EU. I think London will find it difficult to deny Scots self determination when NI finally leaves the UK.
If Ireland reunites it's not a huge crisis, there's a sea border..... A border along Hadrians Wall would cause a whole world of problems! Same with Wales!
NI leaving brings an end to the UK Union. that, in itself, is pretty significant.
I hear people have already started to submit ideas for a new british flag if Scotland leaves too. I like this one. The bendy bananas and happy fish is a nice brexity touch.
Well it's certainly dated since it was done. But do you think the Brexit diehards view on kissing NI / Scotland or Wales goodbye will have noticebly changed? They were willing to see the economy takr a hammering & they got that & still don't waver! Be interesting to see comparable polling now!
I think it's circa 2019. It does reflect the english centric view of the tories, though. I don't think that has changed.
the recent vote in the HoC against british unionists in NI was 515 to 29, which suggests english nationalists still feature larger in future plans of both labour & tories.
If the muppets hadn’t voted for damn brexit, we would be so much better off in every which way, however, they did and we all suffer. We need to learn the lesson and never let self opinionated, self serving morons run the country again. But those muppets will never learn!
If we hadn't committed that senseless act of deliberate self harm, we would have less need to boost armed forces as there would have been less instability and division around feeding it.

Gibraltar voted remain too, in 2016, btw.

I think we're witnessing the collapse of the UK - where england wants to leave the UK.
That regional assemblies bill, rejected in the noughties, might turn out to have been a bigger sliding doors moment for britain than brexit.

It was a criminally procured result to destabilise the West and it's worked!
