Lions mane is fairly common but not common to find that large or that clean. You'll find them sold as supplements very often for the myriad of health benefits attributed to them, but they're actually just genuinely good culinary mushrooms too. One of my favorites, I like them in soup or sauteed

I wish I had known it was Lion’s Mane when I saw it. It wasn’t until later, when I googled it, that I learned it was Lion’s Mane. I’m slightly surprised nobody had taken it yet. It seems a highly sought after mushroom.

Not at all. Clean well, slice thin and saute in butter well, letting all the water cook out until the pieces are nice and brown. Eat with pasta or as a side with seafood or beef. You will never regret it!

I love to cook and eat mushrooms in certain Italian and French dishes, but I have never heard of/ nor seen lions mane mushrooms. It's great to learn about these beauties, and they are beautiful, and I would love to taste and prepare them in the future. Thanks for all the suggestions.
