My first Star Trek series was Discovery (I love it, it started my curiosity for Star Trek and after this I have watched everything except Enterprise) and I was really confused watching so many people hating on it for being "w0ke" (as if the rest of Star Trek wasn't).

In fact, for them, progressivism began yesterday, and the context of Star Trek at the time was no different. In short, it's just the usual ignorance.
What was the first older series you watched after you got into modern Trek, if that's okay to ask? And what was it like to see how different older Trek was?
