Prior to Citizens United, our Gov didn’t answer to our majority but middle class upwards had some representation. We were also never a true Democracy but exactly 2 yrs after Citizens United, we reclassified as an Oligarchy.
That's an easy fix ya know. We have the power to make billionaires, GOP and dems afraid. All we gotta do is sit on our butts for long enough - refuse to work, buy and comply. Bring it all down. They wont foreclose on homes, they wont be able to (they cant handle it). People gotta get over their fear
It’s less about getting over fear and more about being able to pay the bills, put food on the table, keep the utilities on, clothe the kids - striking unions have strike funds for a reason. We need to be able to make sure everyone has what they need while they’re out of work & getting no pay
Democrats in Congress make their decisions based on principles and policies, not just to maintain a constituency. They are committed to serving the public interest first.
It's an open question. Maybe people will organize a focused campaign to specifically target a group of current Senators for primary challenges. It remains to be seen what will materialize if anything.

Legal orgs like ACLU, SPLC, Democracy Docket and others have proven worth our time.
We need to support our science and ed institutions.
We can still pressure media.
Business leaders are beginning to get disillusioned and some could be allies.
Even though it wasn’t all Dems - having good players doesn’t matter if they can’t provide wins.
The resistance invested a lot of valuable time and effort lobbying Dems and it proved to be low/no ROI.
Let’s start focusing on different pillars.
Thank you.
