I started reading a new book by pundits that is being mentioned a lot & I immediately turned to the notes. They don't engage or cite hardly any Black thinkers, POC or women. I check who is writing the books a lot more lately. I had a friend who stated simply that she was no longer reading books by white men. At first I was like whoa! But, yeah, got other and better things to read. Especially if the topic has nothing to do with your actual lived experience. Pass

If it's the abundance book, I'm in no way surprised. Just listening to him talk about it on his podcast told me he did not consult any marginalized groups. Because the regulations he thinks are bad are the ones that attempt to help said groups.

I stopped taking people who write about "THE LAW" seriously years ago when they did not incorporate abolitionist critiques of "The Law." And here we are today. They would have been better off taking those critiques seriously.

my biggest gripe as an abolitionist researcher, the amount of really good academic papers out here full of data to support abolition, but the authors end with "we need better trained police and MORE police"
