NEW, a big loss for the right on the (large) Katy school board, in the greater Houston area.
Voters have ousted Victor Perez, the board's ultra-conservative president.
Perez had championed a policy against trans students that had passed on a 4-3 vote & that prompted a federal investigation.

..additionally any 3rd (or 4th or 5th (!)) party needs to understand that their power has to start at hyper-local levels like this, (ie school board), & grow from the ground up
..the idea that a 3rd party can show up every for years for presidential elections is fundamentally flawed
