You would think the democrats wouldn’t want to break protest movements if we’re in an existential struggle for democracy and they’re trying to protect it.
This is one of those cases that just keeps bubbling under the radar for most folks. It’s local to me but has huge ramifications for protest movements, community organization, mutual aid etc nation wide
The state doesn’t even have to win if it can destroy their lives by dragging it on for years
It's like they say, the process is the punishment. And the state has all the power, controlling the courts, and making all of these demands and requirements on the accused, like you can't move, you can't drink or do drugs. You're in jail, you have to keep showing up for court, etc
