Oh wow! I have a boxed set of small format volumes and they're probably the only books I consistently go back and read on a regular basis.

I started reading this series in high school as some of my first explorations into manga so it's uniquely formative for this huge geek.

I love Nausicaa, but I thought Miyazaki never quite figured out manga storytelling. The art is gorgeous, but he tried to do too much in print. The slimmed down story in the film works better.

Nah, don't worry, it's still great. The one thing the manga does that he couldn't do in the movie is worldbuilding. So. Much. Worldbuilding.
