Love the little notes in that second image~. How do you study different machine components? Reference material you'd recommend? I keep running into an issue of not even having enough vocab to Google questions when I'm trying to create designs that feel real. Very "I don't know what I don't know".
If you study the joints of machines you can bullshit everything else in between. They only need to move believably enough to trick ppl that they work realistically. ✨~That’s the trick~✨
(Hope you don't mind the drill-down question.) How did you study the joints of machines, though? For example: How did you learn what a "parallel leaf spring" is? I do a lot of visual studies, but it's been a challenge knowing what these things are called or what they look like independently.
