Judge Ho's decision to appoint Paul Clement as a "friend of the court," was brilliant. As I stated yesterday, there is a solid circumstantial evidence case that dismissal of the meritorious indictment w/o prejudice would be clearly contrary to the public interest evidence given Bove's"bad faith. "

Clement, for those who don’t know, is arguably the most well-known Supreme Court litigator of the 21st Century. He’s appeared before the court dozens of times—and, as @kovarsky.bsky.social notes, has lots of credibility with the court’s conservative wing.
