NATO is dead. EU and other non-USA allies will need to create a new euro based alliance. It will require haste and it won’t be simple or pretty, but just getting the idea down on paper and getting member states on board will be enough to force Putin to better terms for Ukraine

The problem is, all members has to vote in favour of a new member. Right now, there are probably three or four members who'd vote against. It is time for EU/Schengen countries to look for a more direct solution for Europe. Put NATO on pause, while the American USSR figures out its issues.
