Stolas does not know how to discipline Octavia. He knows how to love her, but Stolas, in general, hasn't taught Octavia how to be independent. Stolas raised Octavia to be dependent on his love to the point she has major abandonment issues. That isn't healthy. I don't even think she has friends.

Hopefully we'll see father/daughter character development next season. Octavia in general needs to have more development and screen time.

I agree he has problems disciplining her but I think her abandonment issues are more on Stella's feet tbh. Her lack of friends... Well. We see how the Goetias are and those are her peer technically. She cannot just befriend anyone

[3] Blitzo parents more Loona in Spring Broken (right or wrong he does) than Stolas EVER does... And yes, I DO include their last meeting. Via has some incredible bad, toxic takes (on depression for example) on which Stolas, as a parent, should have reacted

[4] Idk. It just feels like Stolas is, again, too passive. This feels a bit like what happened after Ozzie's. Via has reasons to be hurt but then, so had Blitz back in Season 1. Stopping her to tell her "No. That is not how depression WORKS" would not invalidate her feelings.
