in all honesty, the main reason I was charmed by the way they do things is how in control and honest they are, esp in an industry where people are basically treated as visual puppets sculpted for viewers liking without any real autonomy.. so I was so confused with any view to "free" the members 🥲🤷‍♀️

Yeah, my personal interpretation of the manti crowd is that it’s all wishful thinking. I think they might very well *know* that Bangtan is free to as they please, but since it doesn’t fit the manti narrative, they *need* it to be true.

I think mantis just want to jump in the BTS narrative to seek their own self-worth, to convince themselves they have a bigger role in their story (and bigger "love") -- bigger than the company at least. But what they don't realize is they're not just discrediting the company, but also the members.

Hmm, that would certainly explain a lot of their behavior! Too bad they don’t realize that they’re the ones making themselves more miserable than they already are. It’ll never be enough for them. I do wonder/hope that some have or will manage to snap out of it, at least for their own good.

I HAD to! They are so angry. Every day. All the time. About everything. I wasn't having fun and in my mind being apart of a fandom was supposed to be fun. That was my clue that something was wrong. I backed all the way up and just started taking steps to know all of them on my own.

It was impossible to ignore their truth, bond, love, story and journey. I fell for all of them for their individual quirkiness, gained immense respect for talent, and love them as people. They aren't perfect as no one is and they don't try to be. Their way of being themselves was so inspiring to me.
