i mean »never again« is explicitally meant as a reference to the holocaust and »never again for everyone« is the exact same mechanism as taking »black lives matter« and turning it into »all lives matter.« this fits very much into antisemitic tropes.

What value does "never again" hold, if it doesn't apply to all groups of people?

nobody would mind a »never again« heart. but it isn’t, is it? because of course never again should include all people. »never again for everyone« has a very specific message behind it, as does »all lives matter« – and the message isn’t the stated one. that’s how dog whistles work.

Black Lives Matter: a chant by a marginalised group to raise awareness of injustice.
All Lives Matter: a dishonest reply by rightwing-trolls to weaken BLM.
"Never again..." on that gingerbread: a message relating to people, who are extremely suffering.

Hi! You appear to be an idiot. "Never again", if you can use it meaningfully, is already relative: you have to be able to say that *this* threatens to be *that*, *again*. Treating the holocaust as a moral unicum which any comparison tarnishes means that of course it will never happen again:

"Never again" to specifically the holocaust or even specifically Jews denies it of any power to direct attention to atrocities in favor of a vacuous pose of concern. It's all very German of course to claim expertise here on the basis of close familiarity with genocide, the existence of Jews

Never again is explicitly a reference to holocaust, to never again have genocide. Cause obviously a single event can never happen again, so if it would exclusively refer to the ww2 genocide of the Jews, it would make no sense as a slogan
