This points out the folly, despite all the billions spent, of not having a national health database like NHS in UK to power more analysis like these.

My 1st guess is lying on the survey.
2nd is lots of poor people can't afford alcohol and are unhealthy in general
3rd is night shift workers who have terrible sleep patterns and their schedule prevents social drinking
There are a number of medical conditions that make drinking unpleasant/impossible that also are associated with elevated risk of dementia. 🤷🏻♀️
I have some people in my life who suffer from migraines, I wonder if they are aware of this.
