Very sobering news for the many daughters caring or have cared for moms with dementia. This is my biggest fear.

My biggest fear too. Keep hope alive though. My MIL’s mother had dementia but my MIL, now in her 80s, is doing great mentally and is older now than when her mother developed issues. You just never know.

I am trying to do all of the recommended things suggested for brain health. The long goodbye is heart breaking and I do not want my kids to travel the road I am currently on.

My mom passed away last year after almost a decade with dementia. Very heartbreaking and traumatizing for the whole family. I’m sorry for what you’re all going through.
