Unfortunately, the caloric calculation is actually off :P It requires 100% energy capture of U-235 (the rare one) and all its decay products; which can take years. Not to mention the chain ends in Pb 😬 It's 2 billion calories (as in lower case 'c'), not Calories/kcal. So only 1.4k in real gains :C
A good question. But if he was still hungry after 40 bill and a few seconds, then he’ll likely need several grams of sheptonium to feel full.
That said, if those grams cause him to grow his new size will need more calories to upkeep. It’s a self defeating cycle i do not envy. I wish him good luck 🍀
