In a week of adventure, we travelled around the North of Ireland meeting with and photographing the people who made the LGBTQ movement in the 1970s and 1980s.

Including author, Stephen, who courageously was probably the only ‘out’ high school teacher in NI in the 1980s. (2.)

For me, the project has been a highlight of my time in Ireland, and felt a bit like working for some high end magazine in an age where it seemed credible that a social historian and photographer might be sent out on a cross-country road trip. (6, ends)
