I can't stop buying Blu Rays. I moved some new shelves in and I'm sick please someone stop me. I bought a blu ray of Skeleton Key for fuck sake. I have a stack of Nic Cage, Statham and random shit like Anaconda and Universal Soldier The Return.

I've got to the point of thinking of my collection as something for posterity as much as for me. Physical media is going to be less and less common and more and more a collector's market, and I think those of us who collect are going to be important in terms of archiving films...
I have very few VHS anymore, but there are still many films exclusive to that format. Same is true of DVD, and will start being true of BR and 4K. Streaming cannot be relied on and doesn't allow true ownership.
Yeah I know you're right! I have thousands of DVDs and blu rays. I've had to move to alternative ways of storing DVDs (chucking the cases essentially) due to a lack of space though.
Same. Only my label and actor collections, my signed films and my boxsets are on display now. I have a dozen massive wallets for the rest. Collection is over 6K titles.
For some reason I decided I wanted to own every Statham film on Blu Ray. Turns out you can't get a Blu Ray of Turn it Up so I bought it on DVD and I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch it. It's not pointless, if it's important to you!
This is absolutely true. My big collections are Elle Fanning, Ethan Hawke, Jackie Chan and Jennifer Jason Leigh, but I have other actors I try to get as much as I can from. Jessica Barden and Juno Temple are high on that list.
Iβm in the same boat. I have blu rays for movies I donβt remember buying and donβt like. How do I have Couples Retreat on Blu-ray? Where did it come from and how much did it cost me? I donβt think Iβve ever seen it.
