Stopping deforestation overlaps with bogland protection. Significant areas of forested peat swamps in SE Asia are burned and cleared for cheap palm oil. This destroys an efficient carbon sink and puts deep ancient peat at risk for further loss. Save the forests, save the bogs, save ourselves.

Stopping deforestation is the one of the largest, fastest, cheapest, and most effective climate solutions we have.
Not to mention it’s the best way to stem biodiversity loss, too.
