I really like catfish, both IRL and in-game. Upside down catfish like the dravanian squeaker are my favorite, bc we aren’t entirely sure why they swim upside down. It’s theorized they get less drag in the water and it’s easier for them to catch prey, but in FFXIV it’s to hide from dragon predators.

I also really love hammerhead sharks, they’re so silly with their eyes separated like that. Probably my fav bigger non-traditional fish since I was a kid. I like fish in general tho, they’re so neat. I love ocean…

Does this count: I love the Port Jackson Sharks we get near me. They are around 1m, they make sleep heaps and they have little tiny mouths. A diver annoyed one and it tried to bite him, but they dont have the jaw strength to go through a wetsuit so he swam around with it attached until it got bored.
