Medical practitioners should be masked for all appointments and procedures. If where you’re going doesn’t automatically do this, speak up and ask beforehand that all staff, including admin be masked for your procedure. It shouldn’t be a big deal. If it is perhaps consider a different practice. 💚

If a hospital, they could have a safety officer who can issue an order for staff to wear N95 masks, put up signs etc. Document yr requests, so they know it's a (formal) health & safety request.

Also GUV or HEPA air filters. Do u have yr own u can take if it's a small practice or if U have to stay?

If U can mask over yr nose, use a small readimask (acrylic adhesive) & fold it like a duckbill (tape the sides if needed), then breathe through nose only if yr awake. Also Gargle and rinse with Betadine iodine b4 & after
