It was ratified again in 2014 the 'memorandum on security assurances in connection with Ukraine’s accession to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons'
But just as useless it seems.
It would be interesting to know how many Russian nukes are functional at this point, given their reputation for shoddy maintenance.
After the independence Ukraine's economy was in a horrendous condition and suffering from hyper inflation. People didn't want to pay for huge arsenals of arms. This narrative that Ukraine got "tricked" is silly.
