Orban, fretting over Ukraine’s EU membership as if Hungary’s economy isn’t already a welfare case for Brussels. "It’ll ruin us!" cries the man living on borrowed €. And NATO? Perhaps he fears war because siding with Russia has left him too exposed. The real threat to HU isn’t Ukraine, it’s Orban.
We say that we are against Hungary’s continued membership in the European Union - because it would allegedly "ruin the European economy - and NATO, since it would lead to a war between the Alliance and Russia."
Orban is talking nonsense, but the fact that he talks about this subject means that NATO membership for Ukraine is still on the cards.
It is the only effective way to prevent the next war when russia decides to invade again.
"If a Member State is the victim of armed aggression on its territory, the other Member States shall have towards it an obligation of aid and assistance by all the means in their power, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. […]"
Sure…but that doesn’t make the EU a military alliance any more than the UN is one. Which the UN most definitely isn’t.
And EU still isn’t the same group of countries that NATO is.

Why?
I am a human, with compassion and dignity.
As being corrupt & self-serving, what a horrid looking creature🤢
Ucraine is important for UE, Hungary is not important !
It is the only effective way to prevent the next war when russia decides to invade again.
The fact that Orban keeps making this forced & untenable assertion is clear evidence that he’s in putin’s pocket.
Only russian propagandists try to conflate these 2 things.

Now, I personally think we already are. Just ask Putin.
