Escalating the tariff war Trump started would hurt the US economy, which Trump can't politically afford right now.
He almost immediately backed off the full 25% blanket tariff with the 30-day extension when he saw the markets moving down.
The only tariff he's talking about now is the steel aluminum tariff, which is the same tariff he put on his last term.

I'm still furious the Netherlands bought the Jsf because they didn't want to upset the Muricans, they could've bought the Eurofighter instead. Lesson learned hopefully, we need to buy and build our own stuff in Europe so we don't need permission from the US to actually use them. The US is unreliable
Why would any European agreement require US? It just means any guarantees given last as long as Trump's motorcade's tail lights are visible. Is it not a crisis big enough for Europe to start moving bit faster, finally? Or did we already give up and are just preparing for the next big one?

We should have declared war on Russia and forcibly removed them from Ukraine a long time ago. This could all have long been over and done with.
Who else has signals intelligence that they can give to Ukraine once America surrenders from Ukraine in Europe?
