IF Europe really wants to, AND puts its weight behind it; russia would be so, so, so fucked.
If we could mobilise the will and societey and battle russia like we did with Covid, this war would be like a lion fighting a house cat.
Start manufacturing NATO bloc standardized equipment in a variety of countries, so no one country can cut the rest of NATO off, and massively increase spending.
The US has become at minimum untrustworthy if not downright hostile.
Buying a few pieces of gear from the US is no longer a safe strategy, Europe must have a reliable solid defense manufacturing base for its own self interest.

Not speaking about possibility of selling to non-european countries.
There's plenty of retooling they'll have to do, but it's a far cry from building new factories from scratch.
