I want to point something out: the Singapore Armed Forces switched from the HAWK system (which is already well proven after decades and provides sterling service in Ukraine where it is fielded), to Aster SAM Launch systems. This is not something they would have done without thorough evaluation.

if the problem is real, it's probably specific to the SAMP/T, that'll need work since it's not the original launcher intended for the Aster family, even if it's been designed as a alternative.

Half the world uses Patriot. It is tested and working. Sampt is new and not really battle hardened and there is no sustained missile production in meaningful quantities. This might change if other countries adopt it. The software is probably already fixed but they still need missiles.

Not all of them were caught, some lived their lives in comfort and relative safety. Even Mengele (of all monsters!) lived fairly long. "It won't be me, because I prepared escape routes and safe havens." is what many of them (who can afford it, that is) think in case of the worst.

Living in exile from ones own country, hiding behind a new identity, and in fear of what happens when someone discovers you, ill take that as a win at least. I would like to think in today’s age it would be much easier to track them down than it was 80yrs ago or so.
