No matter what happens, Europe needs a new plan and needs to work together to protect all of the continent.
Any so-called "peace deal" coming out of this should not deter that process from continuing. Even if there is a ceasefire lasting months the danger hasn't gone away, it's just biding its time
I hope Macron is intending for Sky Shield to be the fastest and most effective way for Europeans to take the leadership in supporting Ukraine defend itself. It would be a big mistake to think that this ceasefire proposal from Trump indicates that you can depend on him as an ally.

While I want to agree Ukrainian soldiers don't want to be the last one to die before a ceasefire starts. I think it is better to prepare traps for when the russia does what it always does, violate ceasefires.
