sorry to be so blunt but any political leader who wants ukraine to give parts of it to russia is working for the russians; every single one who isn't, wants just russia to go back to their country and leave ukraine alone, like we all do.

This is true. However, the minerals are something of a red herring, since it would take years and millions of $ in investment before the first minerals would be extracted and refined, and that's not possible under war conditions.
