Now that lawn-mowing season is back I'm catching up on the new series. The early episodes about Martian culture and the first revolution seem very influenced by Heinlein's The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress (my favorite novel). Was that an inspiration or just a coincidence?

The best (worst) part of your story was learning it wasn't a cut-out from present events. Instead an interpolation of terrible lessons from history that we are apparently going to get to repeat apparently forever. :|

I get that it is not perfect and the world is messy but I truly feel that "The Great Idiot Theory of History" has some important lessons to teach.
