Sure, $12M over 3-5 years was more than the Bucs were offering. Good for him.

He agreed to the Bucs deal, then ghosted the team. But saying the reason was because he was with his kid, and that he was GOING to travel to Jax when he was already there was straight up BS and wasn't necessary.

But the fact that he did the same thing to Holy Cross and the University of Kentucky and their fanbase - ditching them after verbally agreeing to a deal. Even using the same words in his Jax presser about settling down and roots, and family, as he did in his UK presser is just pathological.

Is there a recent successful HC coach with as little experience as him? Never been a HC at any level. 2 non-consecutive seasons as a NFL OC with a record of 15-19 is sketchy.

Asking such a guy to pick the GM of your team is also weird.

Nathaniel Hacket and Adam Gase had 4-5x the amount of experience in the NFL than Coen.

Even Sean McVay had 7 consecutive (8 total) years in the NFL before becoming a HC.
