Also read an article of George Barros of ISW stating that Russia is going for broke. So pushing Ukraine now on a deal with Russia would help Putin and be a very bad deal. Kerp this up for 8 to 24months and Russia will be through al its reserves and Ukraine can get a better deal.

Russia has not increased the interest to 23% although the inflation is rising.
And that is extreme. Never in history has there been an economy with an inflation/ interest spread of more than 10%. Officially in Russia you can put your money on the bank, get 21% while inflation is 8%, making 13%!!!

Persistent stagflation was in 🇷🇺 before the war. That’s why Pootin invaded. RUB bond market is on 🔥🧨. 17% yields. For stagflation you need stable bonds (e.g. 🇯🇵). This is accelerating collapse. All ‘official’ data coming from 🇷🇺 or 🇨🇳 is fiction. As such real inflation is easily above assumed 30%Y/Y.
