I do not disagree, but from what I understand his position to be, I can also understand it as a view to hold.

I think his idea seems to be that changing(compromising, in his pov) the system to maximise the chances of winning provides most benefit in the cups.

Stick to his guns in the league and those that can play, they survive and those that can’t, it’s clearly visible and they go, now or in the summer.
