Berrada will do what Ratcliffe tells him to. That’s pretty apparent already. Ratcliffe callous disregard for people vs results is fundamental to his decision making, across all of his businesses.
Dave Brailsford’s continued involvement in his sporting ventures doesn’t really fit that premise. Amongst other things he’s overseen the reducing of the Team Sky/now Ineos Grenadiers from the pinnacle of performance to a laughing stock. Frankly I don’t know why Berrada was choosing a coach anyway.
His lifelong business model is to try something, fuck it off if it doesn’t work and try something else. That’s generally how people become billionaires. Ruthless pragmatism.
