The closest to the Iceplex I can think of is 'Courtyard Seattle Northgate' that's marriot. Or there's the Hampton inn directly south of northgate. I used to work at the Iceplex and remember those two best 👀

It'll also be very close to the train station! Perfect for getting downtown (parking sucks in the city so that train is a life saver)

Northgate is an interesting part of the city. I'd stay away from 99/Aurora though.

IMO, only stay in Northgate if you’re only interested in doing Kraken-related stuff. It’s… pretty far out of the way of everything else. Most of the nightlife (especially the gay bars) are on Capitol Hill / near downtown.

Not shaming Northgate- it’s plenty nice (my puppy lives up there), it’s just not very central or conducive to seeing much of the city.

That's about a 10 minute walk from the LINK light rail (like a subway, but not always underground). So you could look for accommodations anywhere along the 1 line. It's half an hour north of Capitol Hill which is the gayborhood of Seattle and may be a more fun place to stay & closer to night life.

Yes, I’ve had generally positive experiences. A few guys kinda use it expecting to hook up with you so I think you need to like establish boundaries (nice but firm if you get the vibe) if you’re not interested. But the local tips and friends you get are definitely worth it!

The Courtyard Seattle Northgate is the closest and "official" hotel of the kraken iceplex. It's also quite new and as everyone else is saying, right along the Link Light rail for easy commute to other parts of the city!

If I remember correctly there's a Marriott around there someplace.. or a Courtyard by Marriott. Marriott properties come highly recommend by me.
