We shouldn't acquiesce to the idea that cis people's gender affirming care is frivolous. It's important for them to be actualized too and acknowledging this as a valuable liberty to ensure for all is a point of powerful connection.

This is my main point. I don't agree that GAC is frivolous for anyone. I don't think healthcare is frivolous, generally, and I think everyone deserves it. I'll argue with someone about that long before I'll argue with anyone that they shouldn't get the care they deserve.
I was talking to my doctor, a trans man, about tgel. He explained to me that it was scheduled, so it might be tricky to get insurance to cover. I made some remark like "of course cis guys wanting an edge at the gym ruined this" and he pushed back. Even they should have it.
It's tough to have solidarity with cis GAC consumers after being pushed around so much, but we have to do it to win, and honestly, there's no reason not to.
I don't even really see it as a strategic thing. I just see healthcare as a human rights issue and don't want to trivialize someone's suffering just because I can't relate to it.
Also, calling my needs incomprehensible to cis people feels like carrying water for transphobia to me.

I think about that a lot.
