Look, I love all y'all, but if your newsletter is on Substack I won't subscribe or even click it. I left there for very similar reasons I left Twitter.

Ah, that's a shame. A lot of writers whose work I like still use it. It's made me uncomfortable since the whole fascist thing first came to light - I haven't subscribed to anybody using Substack for precisely that reason. I guess I'll have to keep doing that. I was hoping they'd see the light.
Same. I've signed up for subscriptions to the ones that publish elsewhere, but I'm missing most of my previous favorite writers and journalists because that's where they post.
There was an attempt to move people elsewhere, but with people's livelihoods on the line, only a few were willing to go elsewhere. I have subscribed to the few that did, but I do miss the ones who stayed and understand why they did, but I won't support substack myself.
Same. Freedom of association means others are free to associate with Substack and their Nazi adjacencies, and I’m free not to. (I happily pay for subscriptions on Beehiiv or other platforms.)
