It is now the month of bad bun parents. Look out for bunnies being abandoned in parks and other common places. If walking a dog, pay attention to them as they might not be seeing a squirrel.

My dearly missed bun Samwise was found after Easter hopping along a major interstate highway. She was a black and white dwarf. Lived to the ripe old age of 9 (estimated 7 of those years after we adopted her)
We will get ducks dumped on our lake.
Sometimes they’re tiny. Photographers use them in baby pictures then throw them out the window or think they know how to survive in the wild. There is only one duck rescue in Michigan & they’re busy.
I hate the way some parents get their kids chicks and bunnies for Easter and Puppies and Kittens for Christmas and then just abandon them when they grow up or are too 'hard' to take care of. Cruel and uncaring!
The ignorance of people is just unbelievable. What do they think their children are thinking when the bunny is gone? What could you possibly tell them that would satisfy their curiosity about your bad parenting?
I rescued "throw away bunnies" for years. They resided as pairs in my home; litter box trained, freedom from cages while I was home. They were a joy! My cats couldn't figure out these fur babies hopping around the house!
I found a small bunny abandoned around this time a few years ago at one of my feral cat colonies, obviously bred with colorful circles...very sweet guy so he stayed in my bathroom until I found him a home. Would have kept him if had the room and room for another because they need to have companions.

Said, "Squab GOOD" as he stuffed it into his mouth.
My dad was not even a teenager.
So they won't have a chance😔
