I'm a qual researcher who taught UG and Masters quant analysis. I've never seen a soc program with an undergrad qual course requirement, but they almost always require stats. It might be hard to cover, but at least it's offered! I usually only see qual covered in 1-2 weeks of a broad Methods course.
