We can’t sack him, or we’ll just go round in circles again. Maybe risk a relegation fight to give the project a chance? (Can’t believe I just typed that! 😣)
I’m all for a project to change this team for the long term. Sadly I don’t see enough in how this team is coached or set up that makes me think Ange will make a project succeed. There are really good players here not being used effectively.
Yes injuries are terrible but I think someone said 4 are caused by training ground. VDV first got injured playing left back, then injured coming back too soon. Romero came back too soon. Odobert back too soo, he’s left some players on the bench too long when he could’ve rested some.
FWIW, NUFC had appalling injuries last season (some freak, but most soft-tissue injuries) - some suspected due to Howe flogging the starting XI in training and high-intensity in-match tactics. New medical-performance director James Bunce came in summer & the widespread injuries have vanished..
Still amazes me how our fans’ expectations are so out of whack with reality. Look at the players we buy, then tell me we should be top 4/ top 6 - really!!?? I’m done with this club, until new owners who want to have a successful team are in charge.
This one is on Ange a bit, the lineup is a nonsense. Son can’t play up front against a team like Everton. Richy should have started, but it’s too late now. This season is a complete mess
This is simply horrible. Not entirely Ange’s fault of course but there comes a time when noone can bear watching him moping on the sideline in that cheap grey training jacket anymore.
I think I'm to blame. I'm wearing my Spurple away shirt from a few years ago. Haven't worn it since that Newcastle game. For some stupid reason I thought we'd be OK today and wearing it would be fine.
This has to be the end. There's no way the supporters should have to abide this regardless of who the coach is and who the players are. The football team has only declined since the stadium move and it just cannot stand.
Worse for me Jack, simply because of the need to show some fight after midweek. Injuries are no excuse, this is a poorly coached team with players out of position. It’s not just about today, it’s poor team selections recently have caused injuries and fatigue for others. Ange has to go sadly.
Fair question. For me I’d play Spence in the right and Davies on the left, Porro badly needs a rest. Sadly that would mean Gray at centre half until others are fit. There just appears no shape today. I don’t see where Madders, Kulu, Porro, Gray or Son are supposed to be playing. It’s disorganised
Its little things for me like, playing Werner upfront against Tamworth meant Solanke and Son came on and weren’t rested, lankshear did well against Galatasary but then hasn’t had a chance since. Appreciate another youngster but selections have meant others haven’t rested leading to more injuries
Yeah. There was no shape in that game and I have no clue what we’re supposed to be playing today. Another goal and the Ange thing is over unfortunatley…
Tottenham stablised second half. But overall think they were lucky to only lose that game 3-2. Almost-respectable scoreline barely masks an appalling first half performance.
I personally put the first half down to structure. Putting Gray (an 18yo!) in yet another new position left him floundering. He had no clue where to be on the first and second goal. While Dragusin looks bad on second, he was left on an island by Gray.
Given the injuries and the fact that Spence and Reguilón won’t be available to play on Thursday in the Europa League, I’d love to know why Ange didn’t opt for a lineup like this instead of a fresh 3-4-3. These decisions will cost him his job.
My worry is that when players finally come back, the vibes will be irretrievable. And it's a little overlooked how the one area we've had consistent availability of players is in midfield, and it's arguably been the most ineffective part of the team. Sarr, Bissouma and to a lesser-extent Maddison...
Have just evaporated this past 6 or 7 weeks, and it's left an already-crealing defence completely exposed, and a faltering attack with no creative spark or second/third man runners.
The injuries matter. The clubs terrible recruitment matters. But so do the results. Results since this date in 2024 equals only 50 points. It isn't working. It's a bummer, but its time to move on from Ange, but he will get the EFL Semi. If they lose that, he's gone.

Bye, mate.
Players look broken. Zero confidence, poor decision making. Zero pace in attack.
I’d agree, playing players in their actual position would help but it’s proper difficult when you just do not have players available.
