I mean, you could take Vermont, NH, Maine and NY ( I’m all for that) and turn us into the 14th province (I bet King Bonespurs of Bankruptcy believes you are states and there is NO way he could name them all)

Well you wouldn't get to control your own finances as a territory. The federal government would oversee you. Let's be honest - you all haven't shown yourself as responsible recently. Maybe eventually but for right now we'd want some checks and balances.
