#splatooncomp Lately, I see ppl saying they prefer the 2× Crab meta to the current Zooka one. I can only see it from a spectator's pov, and though it's getting boring it doesn't look as bad imo I'd like to know players' opinion about the current meta, cuz "Double Crab better" is still wild to me - ThreadSky

In terms of spectating, yea, Double Crab is more interesting than Double Zooka. But when it comes to gameplay, i’d much rather fight double crab than double zooka. Crab was pretty much just Splash. Zooka is Shot, Squeezer, and Machine Neo (maybe Carbon Deco too)

Well, crab was quite oppressive during its meta. You could not really push it all that well, especially on some maps like mincemeat. However, crab couldnt randomly one shot you. ZR mode was 4 shot, R mode was 2 shot or 3 shot. And it couldnt kill you accidentally. 1/2

Meanwhile, zooka is a giant 1 shot hitbox with an even bigger 53 dmg (formerly 60 dmg) hitbox. Also, it ends up killing you by accident half the time. the 53 damage nerf made the meta worse, as some weapons which were run with zooka to combo with the 60 dmg now cant be run cus the combo doesnt work

oh also: crab had the same problem as zooka but id argue the problem is far worse with zooka where it just has VERY LITTLE startup time. Its just activated and can be practically instantly used, which is not fun to play against
