This and the similar John Doe employees suit are probably the most important litigation to watch in that they go to the core of the "DOGE" constitutional crisis. Might seem odd that the Appointments Clause is the provision at the heart of the matter, but it absolutely is. This is the whole ballgame.

The Constitution doesn’t say that the government can’t exercise its power stupidly. But it does say that *Congress* at least has to make this kind of stupid decision then delegate the details to the President.
