And their failure to do so is a betrayal of their oath. The only constitutionalist position is removing Trump from office. Shrugging that off as unrealistic is forfeiting the whole idea they have any obligation to defend the Constitution.

It's not going to be.
I think we have to admit that our Constitution is dangerously outdated because it was written before anyone understood that authoritarian party members in different branches would put party loyalty above branch independence.
