You would reach more people, when you add a good description into the Alt-text field.
That is pretty easy, especially, when your image just contain text.
This way, you support visually impaired people and everyone else, who rely on a good filled Alt-text.

I use Ann app called "Google Lens", but can be any text recognition app.
I load the image,
copy the recognized text,
create a new skeet,
upload the image,
tap on " ALT +",
paste the text,
edit it if needed,
save it and send the skeet.
I've updated my Accessibility settings on BlueSky to always prompt for Alt Text before posting.
Haven't yet worked out if I can add to existing images.
The only way is to repost those images.
