could someone explain to me why the portrayal of the sultai was problematic in khans of tarkir the first time around?

i know that the misrepresentation of the rakshasa was part of it, but was there a bigger picture?

I mean, at a very basic level they were very yellow peril-y. A lot of the clans lacked depth and were sort of one-note. They’ve been greatly fleshed out as cultures and working to avoid those issues.
