Letting Barkley walk was the right move. The mistake was drafting a running back that high. Tracy is approximating what Barkley could have done with Jones as his QB. Barkley is just in a better situation now.

I agree on D.Jones, everything about his contract and continuing to hope he is something that he’s not, has been a disaster that most common fans could have predicted. But Barkley wasn’t going to help the Giants and he wasn’t going to put up these numbers if he remained on the team.

Tracy is doing very well for 1/10th the price of Barkley, and it allows the Giants to improve in areas like the OL. Barkley is the same runner he has always been, but he’s finally on a competent team.

That 4.05 yards per carry before contact with Philly, would have been half that number with the Giants. It would have been just another year with more of the same, but costing the Giants $12+ million to do it.

These takes are so tired man. Schoen saved the Giants $30 million by not signing Saquon, and replacing him with a rookie 5th round RB. RBs are a luxury. The DJ thing, in context isn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. They'll cut him and move on next year per the plan.
