I live in CyFair ISD. $140 million dollars deficit, and we have also been taken over by Christian Nationalists sitting on our school board. Big win for them since itβs the 3rd largest in Texas with 118k kiddos π’.

Drown the board in records requests. It slows it all down. Then run campaigns of no confidence in the Superintendent and Board, show up loud and angry.
I and and my advocate friends these garbage trustees are on a first name basis π. Lots of digging into their personal lives/jobs/backgrounds now and exposing. They are truly some horrible people - no mercy.
Good! They deserve everything coming to them. Public school is the most American thing we have. And itβs also pro life. Public schools save lives. Thank you for fighting these literal demons on Earth.
Itβs exhausting and stressful, but also brings some joy when you can give these folks a really bad day by publicly speaking at a board meeting about their hate filled, and very vocal, wives π.
Also CF gets a lot of local media attention that these trustees do not like.
CyFair was picked to be taken over by the extremists with money. Harris County R party officially endorsed, so did Ted Cruz. And they ran in non-partisan elections as Republicans.
But lots of media attention now and the heat is on these trustees. Good.
So sorry to hear that. It's a battle going on across so many school districts. If school vouchers get passed, I'm afraid it will get worse for public education.
π―. And how these right wing billionaires took over itβs Wilks and Dunn in Texas.
They started funding extremists in all these locals. School boards, SBOE, MUD districts, local city councils. Then moved to House and State reps, and now half our elected officials are batshit crazy.
